[edit] Introduction

Resistance 2 is a new and upcoming game that is scheduled to be released November 4 by Insomaniac Games. Resistance 2 will feature many new things, new weapons, two separate campaigns, 60 player multiplayer and much more. The game will also focus on what happens to hale after he gets captured at the end of Resistance: Fall of Man. Sadly, Rachel will not be returning in this game.

[edit] Gameplay

Gameplay in Resistance 2 is said to be drastically more different. In fact, its said thats it more "Call of Duty 4 style", according to beta testers that have played the game. There have been several changes to the gameplay in Resistance 2. First off, there are several new weapons, such as the splicer, a gun that shoots saw blades at your opponents. Here are a list of returning weapons and new weapons

[edit] Returning Weapons

  • Bullseye
  • M5A2 Carbine
  • Rossmore 236
  • Fareye
  • LAARK
  • Frag Grenade
  • Air Fuel Grenade
  • Hedgehog

[edit] New Weapons
  • HVAP Wrath (Mini-gun)
  • Marksman (Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle)
  • HE .44 Magnum (Revolver with explosive ammunition)
  • Splicer (Shoots out saw blades)
  • Spider Grenade (Based on stolen Chimera technology, the new Spider grenade vomits up a great glob of black ooze, which grows in an ever-expanding radius. The spider web-like tendrils grow up walls, across floors, and even into windows as they burn like napalm.)
[edit] Campaigns

For single player, the Campaign is said to be as long, or even longer than R:FoM. Details about the multiplayer co-op campaign have not been revealed yet, but its supposed to run parallel alongside the single player one plot-wise. Multiplayer gameplay has been changed slightly, but how exactly is not know yet. Alongside new gameplay modes (which haven't been revealed yet) players now earn experience as they damage their enemies, as opposed to getting a set number of points for a kill or assist. This experience can go towards things (Power ups, for example) that the player can unlock after earning a certain amount of experience.
